Marriage Proposal Gone Wrong
LONDON (Reuters) - It is the one moment every man wants to get right -- and which London floor-fitter Lefkos Hajji could hardly have got more wrong.
The luckless 28 year-old's dreams of giving his sweetheart, Leanne, 26, the ultimate proposal have literally vanished into thin air.
Hajji, of Hackney, east London, had concealed a 6,000-pound engagement ring inside a helium balloon. The idea was that she would pop the balloon as he popped the question.
But as he left the shop, a gust of wind pulled the balloon from his hand and he watched the ring -- and quite possibly the affections of his girlfriend -- sailing away over the rooftops.
"I couldn't believe it," he told The Sun newspaper.
"I just watched as it went further and further into the air.
"I felt like such a plonker. It cost a fortune and I knew my girlfriend would kill me."
Hajji spent two hours in his car trying to chase and find the balloon, without success.
"I thought I would give Leanne a pin so I could literally pop the question," he said.
"But I had to tell her the story -- she went absolutely mad. Now she is refusing to speak to me until I get her a new ring."
He is hoping the ring will still turn up.
"It would be amazing if someone found it," he added.

Best Burger Recipe??
Since summer is right around the corner, some of my friends got together and decided to make hamburgers. I heard that Rachel Ray's recipe was the best so we went with her recipe that I found online. It was DELICIOUS. I'm passing the recipe along to you all:
You Will Need
6 slices of smoked bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil (EVOO), 3 turns of the pan, plus more for drizzling
2 yellow onions, 1/4 finely chopped and 1 3/4 thinly sliced
1 1/2 pounds ground sirloin
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce (eyeball it)
1 teaspoon hot sauce (eyeball it)
1 tablespoon grill seasoning, such as McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning (a palmful)
4 crusty poppy seed or plain kaiser rolls, split
4 slices smoked Gouda cheese
1/4 cup steak sauce, such as A1 or Lea & Perrins
What to Do
1. Preheat the broiler. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, then add the bacon and a drizzle of EVOO and cook until the bacon is crisp, 4 to 5 minutes. Transfer the bacon to a paper towel–lined plate and drain off all but 1 tablespoon of the fat from the skillet. Return the skillet to medium-low heat and sweat the finely chopped onion in the bacon fat for 2 to 3 minutes. Combine the onion with the reserved bacon in a small bowl and let cool. Turn off the heat and set the skillet aside.
2. In a medium nonstick skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of the EVOO, 2 turns of the pan, over medium heat. When the olive oil is hot, add the thinly sliced onions and cover them with a lid that fits inside the skillet. Cook until browned, 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
3. While the onions are cooking, place the sirloin in a large bowl and top with the Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce and grill seasoning. Stir in the cooled chopped onions and bacon until evenly combined. Divide the meat into 4 even sections and form 4 large patties. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of EVOO, 1 turn of the pan, to the large skillet and heat over medium-high heat. Add the burgers and cook for 4 minutes on each side for medium-rare and 6 minutes on each side for medium-well.
4. Toast the split rolls under the hot broiler until golden. Place the patties on the bun bottoms and top with the smoked Gouda. Remove the bun tops from the broiler pan. Return the burgers to the broiler to melt the cheese, about 30 seconds. Stir the steak sauce into the smothered onions. Top the burgers with the onions and set the bun tops in place. Transfer to plates and serve.

Study Abroad FEVER!
I read in the Red and Black that 30% of the 33,000 students at UGA are studying abroad this year. That's a lot higher than I thought! But thenI realized that a lot of my friends have studied abroad or are planning to in the future. They have visited Argentina, England and Spain. For those of us going this summer: Costa Rica, Paris, Italy, London and Japan!

Law of Public Communication
I have to admit that JRLC 5040 has been an interesting class and I've learned a lot. That being said, I also have to say that I've spent more time studying for this class than all my other 4 classes COMBINED. It's currently 1:29 a.m. and my studying for the final has only just begun.

Malaysian Pictures
Last summer, I visited my home country for the first time. The trip turned out to be a disaster because I immediately got sick and 2 weeks later.. my appendix burst! I had to have surgery in a foreign hospital. However, I did get a chance to take some glamour pictures when I recovered from the surgery. Here are two of my favorites:
